Labubu is Kasing Lung's character from The Monsters, recognizable by its pointed ears and toothy grin. POP MART sells it as vinyl figures, plush bag charms and larger dolls.
"Labubu doll" can mean any of these, so check the product type and size before comparing prices.
Who created Labubu?
Kasing Lung introduced The Monsters in three picture books inspired by Nordic mythology in 2015, according to POP MART's introduction.
The Monsters includes Labubu, Zimomo, Tycoco, Spooky and Pato. The name covers the characters, not one particular blind-box set.
Labubu and the Furby craze
Furby had its own holiday toy craze in 1998. Both have furry bodies and big ears. Furby is an interactive electronic toy; Labubu plush pendants are bag charms with vinyl faces.

What is a Labubu blind box?
A blind box keeps the design hidden until it is opened. The packaging shows the possible regular designs, and some series also have a secret design.
The number of designs and boxes depends on the release. For example, Exciting Macaron has six regular designs plus Chestnut Cocoa as the secret, while the official whole set contains six non-repeating boxes. A secret can replace a regular design.
If you want a specific design, look for a doll sold opened and by name. The beginner collecting guide explains boxes, sets and duplicates.
Labubu vs Lafufu
Lafufu is a nickname for a fake or knockoff Labubu. It is not an official POP MART character.
The Lafufu comparison shows fake examples, including a Coca-Cola-themed doll. Compare a doll with its series' official photos and follow POP MART's authenticity instructions to check the code on the box.
Are Labubu dolls children's toys?
Read the age label. POP MART lists Have a Seat and Exciting Macaron as unsuitable for anyone under 15. Their plush bodies do not make them toddler toys.
