The ABC’s Of Me!

Recently my friend Katy started blogging again. I’ve been struggling with blogging for the last few months. I want to change the direction of my blog a bit and put more of ME in to my blog. Katy is giving me the inspiration to post! Recently she posted the ABC’s of her and I thought it would be fun and a GREAT way to start putting some of ME back in to my blog!

So without further ado.. The ABC’s of me!

A is for Alex. My son. My loving son. While he pushes my buttons and some days pushes me to my limits, he really tests my skills as a mother. He has made me a much stronger person and taught me a lot of motherhood. The unconditional love between a mother and a son is something that I am so lucky to know.

B is for beaches. I absolutely LOVE beaches. They are so relaxing and beautiful. Beaches are one of natures greatest gifts.

C is for conversation. I love having conversations. My short stories always turn into long stories and lots of details. I also can enjoy a fun debate with a friend.

D is for dessert. Dessert is my favorite course of the meal. Everyone should enjoy a good dessert from time to time!

E is for energy. Energy is the thing I lack the most in my life, unfortunately. With having two major diseases (Pompe’s and Fibromyalgia) they take a toll (and energy) out of me.

F is for family. I love my family! I love the fact that I have a small family of my own (my husband, my son, my daughter and one spoiled rotten puppy). I love my 4 brothers. They are my world.

G is for grateful. I’m very grateful for everything that I have been given in life. While some of the things in my life haven’t been fun, they’ve all shaped me into the person I am today. I am stronger because of it.

H is for home. They say home is were the heart is, and there is nothing more true! I love spending time at home and I couldn’t be more happy then when I am at home with my family!

I is for iPhone. My iPhone is my life in the palm of my hand. It keeps me organized. It keeps me at appointments, events for the kids, parties and more. Some people are against smart phones, I’m all for them! My chaotic life is manageable with a little help for my iPhone.

J is for junk. I have a little (okay a lot) of OCD. I try to keep things very organized and while I do succeed for the most part, I also tend to keep every single thing. Things that should go to the junk, things that have been saved long past when needed.

K is for Kindle. I am addicted to reading now that I have an iPad (with a Kindle app). I can’t read a paper book. I am intimidated by how thick they are. Reading digitally you don’t see the thickness. I love reading True Crime the most and Kathryn Casey is by far my favorite author. I own ALL of her books!

L is for love. I am a hopeless romantic. I love the feeling of love. I love watching other people happy and in love.

M is for Mariah. My oldest child. My daughter. She taught me what being a mother ment. I could never describe the way I felt the moment she was placed in my arms and the word “mother” became my reality!

N is for nephew. My adorable loving nephew Peyton brings me more joy then I could have ever imagined. I never knew how awesome it was to be an Auntie until he blessed my heart with his love, smile and happy personality.

O is for OCD. Obsessive compulsive disorder. I am very anal when it comes to organization and doing things in routine. Things have to be JUST RIGHT or I can’t sleep, relax, etc. this has gotten worse as I’ve gotten older!

P is for pink. Pink is my favorite color. It used to be blue, but it’s been pink since high school and if I am buying something and I have the choice of color, it will be pink. Everything is better in pink!

Q is for quite. It’s never quite in my house, but that’s truly the significant a happy house. When it is quite, I enjoy it and soak it all up!

R is for retail. There is nothing better then some retail therapy! I could be happy shopping all day. Of course, I am a huge bargain hunter so some days I don’t get too much and other days I get a lot, for a little.

S is for Sparky. He’s my spunky pup. When I was told I couldn’t have anymore children, I was blessed with Sparky, my rescue terrier. He is the most amazing companion and he stays by my side all day and all night. He gives me a wonderful sense of security.

T is for Travis. My loving husband. My best friend. He is my rock. He keeps me balanced, he makes me happier then I have ever been in my life. He is my high school sweetheart and I can’t wait to grow old, retire and enjoy our lives together!

U is for understanding. I am a very caring, compassionate and understanding person. I thing those that know me would say this is prob one of the best qualities I have.

V is for Valentines Day. Valentines Day is my favorite holiday. Since I love love (see L) this is naturally my favorite holiday!

W is for Wisconsin. I was born and raised here. Although it is a wonderful state and it’s beautiful here, I have to say,I am looking forward to moving out of state when my kids are older. When I was younger I loved the winters and all the activities of winter, but now that I am older and my health has declined, I am not a fan of the cold OR the four seasons.

X is for xanthic. Xanthic is yellow.. Yellow (or Gold that looks yellow in this case) & green are the colors os my hometown. My hometown team, Packers. My favorite NFL team. It’s the home town team where we bleed green and gold (yellow). Go Pack Go!

Y is for yummy. I am a huge lover of food. My palette is pretty picky, but I love sweets. I love sweets that make my mouth water!

Z is for zesty! While I don’t typically have extra energy to spare, I try to stay pretty active. I maintain a workout routine daily. It’s more therapy for me then it is for anything else. It’s important that I keep my fitness up to date in order to stay ahead of my muscle disease (see E).

There you have it! The complete ABC’s of me! If you’d like to give this a try, please stop back and let me know! I’d love to read!
