Bring On The Lights!

[ 7 ] August 14, 2010

I am a HUGE fan of lights. In fact it annoys me to no end that this house has very little lightening. We have lamps and such but it would be so much nicer to have ceiling lightening. Hubby and I have actually talked many times about putting some in. We’ve changed out a few of the light figures already so it really wouldn’t be too much more work to add a few. I really want contemporary lighting though!

I love this light! I think it’s very fashionable and unique and truly fits in my home. It’s always a process for me. I can never find what I am looking for or envisioning and that causes me a huge headache! I could literally look at 500 lights before I find “the one”. Luckily for me CSN Stores.com has a TON of selections and I can browse everything in one place! This makes my decision even easier. If I want a floor model, they have them as well. However, I prefer in my house to keep things OUT of the way of the tornadoes that I call my children.

Fabulous Hair!

[ 0 ] July 23, 2010

Even though I have a shorter hairstyle, the one thing in my house that gets used all the time is the hot iron. I’ve been looking to replace ours for a while because frankly it’s a cheaper one and I really don’t care for it. I’d love something that is wet to dry {straight} because I blow dry too and really don’t want to do ALL of that!

I’ve been looking at different H2Pro Flat Irons. They look amazing and they have all the features that I would love in a flat iron. The reviews on them have been great and I see a lot of people love them. My daughter has long hair and I know she’s going to get more and more brave with styling it. She’s already all over the hot rollers and likes them in as much as possible. It’s not always a GOOD look because when she does it herself it can be a disaster. She isn’t very consistent with the amount of hair in each roll. She’s shown interest in the flat iron and I know this is a tool MANY teens and pre-teens use so I think I’d be safe making a purchase. I know it will get used.

Do any of you have a H2Pro Flat Iron? What are your thoughts?

Time For a Watch Baby!

[ 13 ] June 30, 2010

We love Casio! Recently we got to try the Baby-G BG3000M-7 from Casio. At first when I seen the watch I didn’t see a whole lot of a difference between this watch and others I’d seen. However, I must warn you, this exact item is the reason why you can not “judge a book by the cover” so to speak. This watch is so much more then you see from the box and at a glance. Baby-G introduces two new Pink Gem styles of Compact and Slim Marine. It is a white resin band with digital dial code and pink face, molded resin band “metal link look”, and a gem dial. I love the look of it. The resin is not cheap that the band would break easily. It’s VERY heavy duty and built to last. I also love the small resin notches on the side of the watch. This stopped it from being bumped and scratched on the front. I thought the white would get dirty pretty fast. It didn’t get dirty fast, but it did collect some dirt. However, I was able to take a damp rag with some soap on it, wipe it gently and it was BRIGHT white again. Here’s the technical specs on this amazing Baby-G BG3000M-7 watch from Casio:

  • Shock Resistant
  • 200M Water Resistant
  • EL Backlight with Afterglow
  • World Time
  • 29 time zones (30 cities), city code display, daylight saving on/off
  • 5 Daily Alarms
  • Countdown Timer
  • Mearuring Unit: 1 Second
  • Measuring Capacity: 24 Hours
  • 1/100 second stopwatch
  • Measuring capacity: 23:59’59.99”
  • Measuring modes: Elapsed time, split time, 1st-2nd place times
  • Hourly Time Signal
  • Auto Calendar (pre-programmed until the year 2099)
  • 12/24 Hour Formats
  • Accuracy: +/- 30 seconds per month
  • Battery CR1616
  • Approx. battery life: 3 years
  • Module 3136

Honestly, this watch is great. I am not usually a watch girl, working on the computer several hours each day it tends to bother my wrist rubbing on the desk, however, this watch has been so comfortable, I’ve worn it almost daily since I’ve gotten it. I’ve gotten compliments on it and what was even funnier was that when I told people it was Casio, they were amazed. It was not what they expected me to say. Like I said earlier, it may have a similar look to more expensive or cheaper watches, but the comfort and the durable material of this watch makes it so much better!

There are Baby-G timepieces for everyone in the family. They come in a variety or colors and styles for everyone. If you prefer a square face, they do have them. If you want a black color or perhaps a more bold color like yellow, green or aqua, they also have them. Not enough pink in my watch for the girly girls like me, they have an all pink one (this alone makes Casio the best ever – seriously all pink – GENIUS).

BUY: You can buy Casio Baby-G & other great products by Casio at retailers nationwide. You can use the product finder for the closest location!

BBQ Season

[ 0 ] June 22, 2010

With summer season here that are a lot of backyard parties. I know for us, when we host a backyard BBQ party we like to have drinks, food, and even a bonfire. I like to make sure my guests are comfortable and that means having patio furniture that is both nice and comfortable. This year we are getting our deck ready and I have been browsing through some Aluminum dining sets to find a set that I really liked. I am torn because the selection is amazing and they have something for every style. There are even loungers which is something we are considering. I would love to have one to lay on when the kids are playing outside so I can read or use the laptop comfortably. Not only are there TONS of choices on Patio Furniture Buy but there are also many different fabric swatches you can chose from! I am thinking I will either go with no cushion or a cushion that matches my siding (not a solid, maybe a stripe). I keep finding more and more patterns and designs I like which is making the choice harder. The site is very easy to navigate and you can compare prices pretty simply. There is also a wide variety of accessories, like umbrellas, umbrella stands, outdoor lighting, serving carts and more. These are all great options. I would certainly need an umbrella because the area in which our deck is has little to no shade. I don’t like sitting in the direct sunlight so I love the umbrella. They are a BBB accredited business, which assures me I am making a safe online purchase. I like having that comfort when making a large ticket item purchase online. There is no way I would find this selection locally even if I were to shop at several stores.
