I am not leaving. I am here!! I am slowing down a little bit for then next few weeks to get my clutter all cleaned up! With the kids back in school and the storms we had 2 weeks ago that took out all of our computers {they work but shut down when they want} I am toast at the end of the day. I do miss my readers and friends here, but I am transferring things to a new computer… so I am kind of idling in the back ground. Please feel free to shoot me an email if you see something out of line, or need assistance!! I will be back shortly!!

For years my husband has suffered from allergies. He’s tried a HUGE variety of medications and sprays and other things that he was hoping would work. Some of them helped for a short while, but then they stopped. Some things {like nasal irrigation systems} were just too much to do daily and several times daily.

Recently PureZone offered me their Personal Air Filtration system to try. I can’t say enough about this product. It truly has worked a miracle for my husband. He LOVES it. Setting up the system was pretty simple. All you had to do was put the fan unit on your choice of stand or brackets that are included, put the filter in place and snap the cover on, plug the remote in… set the unit next to your bed, add your pillow in the pillowcase and your set!

Here’s the PureZone pillow in our bed:

You use your choice of pillow in the pillowcase they provide that is a part of the system. The pillowcase is a soft cotton material and it is very comfortable so you shouldn’t have any problems with that. The air we breathe is full of irritants that can trigger asthma and allergy symptoms. Over 99.7% of airborne allergens and pollutants are removed through the charged fiber HEPA filter. The system IS clinically proven to reduce allergy symptoms. For my husband, this is VERY effective. Since we sleep in the same bed, I also notice some results for ME! My nose is not all dry in the morning like usual. I love the little white noise that comes from the fan unit. It’s the perfect rhythm that puts me to sleep in no time! My husband does work a swing shift schedule and sleeping GOOD has always been a challenge. With the PureZone system he is sleeping better all around. He sleeps longer, feels more rested and his allergy symptoms are nearly gone, without the $100′s spent monthly on allergy medications, sprays, etc that give him such very minimal results!

Another thing I should mention is that the unit has adjustable temperatures. This is one of my husbands favorite features. He is always WARM when he sleeps so with this he is able to control the temperature of the air. This in turn keeps him a comfortable temperature when he is sleeping. This not only helps him sleep better, but it keeps him less restless and sleeping through the night longer!

As you can see from the picture the PureZone system is small and takes very little room. It’s not a huge room unit {but I think this personally unit works better in that regards because you are keeping the purified air right in your area}. The remote is easy to use and does light up when you push the buttons. If you wake during the night and need to change settings the remote is nice for that. The pillowcase fills with the purified air. When you lay on it, the air filters around your head giving you the purified air to inhale both through your nose and through your mouth. This unit is QUIET. There is hardly any noise. I actually like the sound of having a fan on when I sleep and I am still sleeping with a white noise machine because this is pretty quiet. My husband does like the little hum from it and says it’s enough “noise” for him to sleep. I guess I like it a little louder then he does.

I honestly can’t say enough about this system. I never thought that we would find something to cure or help my husband’s allergies. He’s able to cut the grass and be outside without swelling up the next day and not being able to see from his eyes. He’s not sneezing all night long and that allows ME to sleep without waking up. He’s more rested and feels great. PureZone has truly been a blessing for us!!

I have tried SO many different ones that I rarely find one that sticks out to me. They all have their perks and benefits but the baseline is that I want something that is going to pamper my dry cracking skin. Skin MD Natural sent me some of their lotion to try out. I have to say that this is a lot different then other lotions I have tried. Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion is formulated to be far more effective than any other moisturizing lotion or protective cream while still being natural. The formula took over 6 years to create and 600 test batches.

My favorite things about Skin MD Natural are:

Non-greasy

Absorbs well

Light

Soft feeling

One product for everywhere (face, hands, feet, body, etc)

Having one bottle of shielding lotion in my bathroom instead of several is not only more environmental friendly (less trash and chemicals) but it’s more convenient. This is especially true for when I travel. I love that I only have to grab and I can use this on my face as well as my hands. It’s a very light weight formula so I can use this under make-up with no troubles. I don’t like the shiny (greasy) look many lotions leave. Skin MD doesn’t leave this residue. It’s completely absorbed and without rubbing for 2 hours either.

Skin MD also has a lotion plus SPF 15. Making Skin MD Natural a daily part of your skin care routine will help protect against sunburn and the signs of premature aging, wrinkles, age spots, and sagging skin. Active sunscreens combined with nourishing Aloe Vera, Vitamin E, Arnica, Comfrey, Chamomile, and Yarrow keep skin silky smooth and hydrated.

BUY: You can by Skin MD Natural & Skin MD Natural + SPF 15 online, at retailers using the store locator or on Amazon!

These are so amazing! We were honored to get to try them and share our thoughts. For us there are only hubby and myself that eat pies so we really enjoy the fact that these are single serving size. Whenever we buy bakery pies they are either not as fresh as we’d like or we waste half of it. These are nice little treats! My grocery store carries them for the low price of just $.99!! We stocked up on them!!

The Banquet Fruit Pies come in apple, peach and cherry berry. We tried all three but the favorite in our house was the apple! They were amazing. You just warm them in the oven for 30 minutes and you have a fresh, WARM pie to enjoy! They are single serving size, but hubby and I did share one and it was more then enough. These are great for single people, college kids, moms needing and indulge and everyone else!! The crust was pie crust and was very crispy when cooked. I feared it might be soggy but it was not.

BUY: Banquet Fruit Pies can be found at most grocers in the freezer section.

I am a HUGE fan of lights. In fact it annoys me to no end that this house has very little lightening. We have lamps and such but it would be so much nicer to have ceiling lightening. Hubby and I have actually talked many times about putting some in. We’ve changed out a few of the light figures already so it really wouldn’t be too much more work to add a few. I really want contemporary lighting though!

I love this light! I think it’s very fashionable and unique and truly fits in my home. It’s always a process for me. I can never find what I am looking for or envisioning and that causes me a huge headache! I could literally look at 500 lights before I find “the one”. Luckily for me CSN Stores.com has a TON of selections and I can browse everything in one place! This makes my decision even easier. If I want a floor model, they have them as well. However, I prefer in my house to keep things OUT of the way of the tornadoes that I call my children.

I’ve been looking to replace ours for a while because frankly it’s a cheaper one and I really don’t care for it. I’d love something that is wet to dry {straight} because I blow dry too and really don’t want to do ALL of that!

I’ve been looking at different H2Pro Flat Irons. They look amazing and they have all the features that I would love in a flat iron. The reviews on them have been great and I see a lot of people love them. My daughter has long hair and I know she’s going to get more and more brave with styling it. She’s already all over the hot rollers and likes them in as much as possible. It’s not always a GOOD look because when she does it herself it can be a disaster. She isn’t very consistent with the amount of hair in each roll. She’s shown interest in the flat iron and I know this is a tool MANY teens and pre-teens use so I think I’d be safe making a purchase. I know it will get used.

Do any of you have a H2Pro Flat Iron? What are your thoughts?

We love Casio! Recently we got to try the Baby-G BG3000M-7 from Casio. At first when I seen the watch I didn’t see a whole lot of a difference between this watch and others I’d seen. However, I must warn you, this exact item is the reason why you can not “judge a book by the cover” so to speak. This watch is so much more then you see from the box and at a glance. Baby-G introduces two new Pink Gem styles of Compact and Slim Marine. It is a white resin band with digital dial code and pink face, molded resin band “metal link look”, and a gem dial. I love the look of it. The resin is not cheap that the band would break easily. It’s VERY heavy duty and built to last. I also love the small resin notches on the side of the watch. This stopped it from being bumped and scratched on the front. I thought the white would get dirty pretty fast. It didn’t get dirty fast, but it did collect some dirt. However, I was able to take a damp rag with some soap on it, wipe it gently and it was BRIGHT white again. Here’s the technical specs on this amazing Baby-G BG3000M-7 watch from Casio:

Shock Resistant

200M Water Resistant

Honestly, this watch is great. I am not usually a watch girl, working on the computer several hours each day it tends to bother my wrist rubbing on the desk, however, this watch has been so comfortable, I’ve worn it almost daily since I’ve gotten it. I’ve gotten compliments on it and what was even funnier was that when I told people it was Casio, they were amazed. It was not what they expected me to say. Like I said earlier, it may have a similar look to more expensive or cheaper watches, but the comfort and the durable material of this watch makes it so much better!

There are Baby-G timepieces for everyone in the family. They come in a variety or colors and styles for everyone. If you prefer a square face, they do have them. If you want a black color or perhaps a more bold color like yellow, green or aqua, they also have them. Not enough pink in my watch for the girly girls like me, they have an all pink one (this alone makes Casio the best ever – seriously all pink – GENIUS).

BUY: You can buy Casio Baby-G & other great products by Casio at retailers nationwide. You can use the product finder for the closest location!

Disclosure: I was provided with a Casio Baby-G Watch for this review from Casio. All views and opinions with regard to the products or company itself are my own and were not influenced, nor reviewed, by the company prior to posting.

I know for us, when we host a backyard BBQ party we like to have drinks, food, and even a bonfire. I like to make sure my guests are comfortable and that means having patio furniture that is both nice and comfortable. This year we are getting our deck ready and I have been browsing through some Aluminum dining sets to find a set that I really liked. I am torn because the selection is amazing and they have something for every style. There are even loungers which is something we are considering. I would love to have one to lay on when the kids are playing outside so I can read or use the laptop comfortably. Not only are there TONS of choices on Patio Furniture Buy but there are also many different fabric swatches you can chose from! I am thinking I will either go with no cushion or a cushion that matches my siding (not a solid, maybe a stripe). I keep finding more and more patterns and designs I like which is making the choice harder. The site is very easy to navigate and you can compare prices pretty simply. There is also a wide variety of accessories, like umbrellas, umbrella stands, outdoor lighting, serving carts and more. These are all great options. I would certainly need an umbrella because the area in which our deck is has little to no shade. I don’t like sitting in the direct sunlight so I love the umbrella. They are a BBB accredited business, which assures me I am making a safe online purchase. I like having that comfort when making a large ticket item purchase online. There is no way I would find this selection locally even if I were to shop at several stores.

After dinner, I always seem to hate the chore of cleaning up. I’ve recently discovered why though. After I received my set of Cover Mate food covers, it dawned on me that the reason I *hate* cleaning up is because I have to dig for dishes to put it in. That is not HALF as bad as finding the matching lid though!! I swear, I have 600 pieces of storage containers, and 600 lids, but none of them match. I have no idea how this happens, maybe the dishwasher shrinks my bowls? Yeah, that HAS to be it. Regardless, none of the tops match the containers. It’s always frustrating and annoying. Then I have lids I KNOW there is no container for.

I am sure this is a common household problem. I surely CAN’T be the only one with this problem. In fact, I know I am not because the amazing people at Cover Mate created a product JUST FOR US! I love these, they are stretch to fit covers. They are reusable, just wash them out with some dishwater and you are set! They are microwaveable, however, I did not try this feature on them. I like my food scorching when it leaves the microwave so I never cover it. The variety pack of Cover Mate has lids for every size bowl. I covered mac and cheese, fruit and even a can of ravioli with my covers. The one down side is that the bowls don’t stack neatly like they would if I used a hard lid. BUT I never really have much that I need to stack. I also liked the fact that I could cover my platters!! If I was making a taco dip or something larger like that I could cover it, without using 900 feet of saran wrap (which never sticks to the platter). All I have to say is… my lid drawer is PRETTY empty now!

BUY IT: You can shop online for Cover Mate at retailers nationwide. Use the store locator to find specific locations.

I know many of you have children in schools that require uniforms. I have 2 children to buy uniforms for each year. I love the fact that they wear uniforms though and I do think in the long run it is cheaper for me. I was really excited to hear about French Toast’s Contest. You can win $15,000 for you and your school! Here’s some details:
