Christmas is a special time of year that we all enjoy. It’s a time when people decorate their home, inside and out. It’s a time when we exchange presents with the people we love. For some the feeling of giving is very rewarding (raises hand). For others, they like receiving. This year Sears is celebrating the Christmas season with real deals and real cheer. You can help spread Real Cheer by scrolling over the Sears Cheer Tree Mosaic to see photos submitted by others of their own holiday decorating.

You can also earn special deals from Sears by clicking on Special Offers to find deals hidden within the Cheer Tree. You will have to keep checking back and looking at the Cheer Tree because Sears is making this a fun and interactive way to save by adding new (30-50% off) each day. I know I have some bigger things that I am looking to purchase and I also have a couple gift cards, so if I can unlock a percentage off and use my gift cards, that will be great! Of course, some of us are not as good at games as others, but don’t worry, there are hints to help you locate the deals within the mosaic. Another interactive feature allows you to click “Add Me” to upload a photo of your own holiday decorations to become part of the Cheer Tree!

For me, my favorite part of the holiday is decorating the tree. I haven’t done a themed tree in a couple years. I used to love doing it that way, but the kids have taken over decorating it and they LOVE to showcase all their handmade items, which grow each and every year. So alas, my tree has become a display of their work. I look at it as a display of love. Looking at my tree, it’s nothing like I used to do, however, it holds more memories year after year. Memories that we don’t forget. I’ve added a picture of my tree to the Sears Cheer Tree Mosaic. Head over, grab a deal, and share your favorite part of Christmas with us!

FTC Disclosure: I wrote this post regarding a campaign on behalf of Sears and Sears Real Deals Real Cheers Holiday Promotion and received a promotional item to thank me for participating. All views and opinions with regard to the products or company itself are my own and were not influenced, nor reviewed, by the company prior to posting.

When it comes to anti aging skin care there are so many options. There are many typical cleaners and creams that can be bought at the store locally. I tend to shy away from products like that. The price is always a good indication of the quality you are receiving in a product. Iderma carries a wide range of products that are perfect for your skin type and your needs. They carry brands like SigmaSkin, which contains a wide range of products such as shampoos, lotions, moisturizers, and aftershave creams. All of these products are specifically designed to treat hair and skin issues using topical products of extravagant quality. They combine numerous, clinically proven, highly active ingredients into hair and skin products that are much more effective.

However, anti aging is not just the products you use. It’s also the procedures like chemical peels and laser treatments. Some people think that once the procedure is done, you are good to go. The problem is, there is a healing process with all of these types of things. There are products to help in that process, while still allowing you to have that beautiful, colorful skin. GloMinerals advanced formulations are comprised of pharmaceutical-grade ingredients, natural high-pigment minerals, nourishing vitamins and powerful antioxidants to deliver radiant beauty and healthy, glowing skin. The anti-inflammatory ingredients in glominerals are recommended for use after a chemical peel or laser procedure to help correct and protect the skin.

You can trust that iderma carries nothing less then the best products. Iderma was founded by Westlake Dermatology and is a great place to check out for Austin coolsculpting (they have done over 800 treatments since November 2010) and dermatology in Austin Texas. With a wide variety of specials and financing options they make treatments available to everyone.

I am probably the last person every year to get my cards for the holidays together. I have no idea why. I used to be very good at having them ready to mail on December 1st. It was simple for me. I am creative by nature and I love a sweet photo holiday cards. I usually don’t have too much of a problem putting them together, but it always seems like I wait too long to order then, which in turn makes them late to go out. This is just something that has really slipped away from me in the last few years. I have to admit though, when I started my holiday cards, my family was always in awe. It seems like there are many places that offer amazing holiday stuff for mailing. It doesn’t seem to be as difficult to come by unique cards or cards that have the perfect saying and look for you, so I love to have something more personalized, with the kids pictures or the family pictures.

My question to you all is.. Have you ordered your holiday cards? When do you traditional send them out, or hope to get them out by? Do you use a standard greeting card or something more personalized with a photo?

The cost of the Thanksgiving meal each year gets more and more expensive. It’s interesting to me to see how family work on this cost and how families work on the budget to accomidate this type of meal and cost.

The average family buys a 16 pound turkey to feed their family and guests. The average cost of the 16 pound turkey is about $21.57. This is up $3.91 from last years cost of the same 16 pound turkey! Note: Before heading out to make your turkey purchase, check out the discounts and sales at your local grocers. Most of the other holiday items including the stuffing, milk, sweet potatoes, rolls, cranberry sauce, pies, veggies and miscellaneous things have also gone up in cost. In 2010 the average family spent $43.47 to feed 10 people. In 2011 the average family will spend $49.20 to feed 10 people. If your like me, you purchased some of your holiday items ahead of time. I purchased on sales and used coupon codes to save on the things that I could get and save, like the frozen vegetables, rolls, cranberry sauce and potatoes. I would say that the cost ($49.20) is probably pretty close to feed my family. I make a lot of things from scratch, including the pies (watch for the apple pie recipe next week!), so even though I am feeding a family of 6, I think my cost was a little more.

How does your meal compare to the average cost? Are you above the amount, within the range or did you save some? What are your Thanksgiving Day tips for saving or budgeting?

Average meal costs can be found on econedlink

The world of coupon savings has taken on some what of a dramatic epidemic in the last few years. People are more determined now then ever to save. With the economy in the standing it’s in, every savings helps. There is a lot more these days to coupons besides the actual clipping. You can learn a lot of tricks about coupons and clipping them from many places both online and offline. Extreme Couponing is the next biggest thing and people are more determined then ever to stock pile products that they get for little to no cost. Even Kate Gosselin has taken on a blogging job, where she shares her favorite coupon codes for things like Verizon Wireless with everyone, making shopping simpler.

While I must admit, the coupon epidemic has gotten me curious, I tend to be horrible at printing or clipping coupons. I do better with an online coupon code that I can plug in and get the deal. I am a huge online shopper, so that is probably the reason for that as well. I have used coupons and gotten some amazing deals, but for me it’s a concept I can’t really grab, so unless someone points it out directly to me, I usually miss the in store deals with the coupons available from the paper. I tend to pass the coupons off to people I know. It’s not that I don’t love a savings, I just forget the coupons AND I don’t get the concept of the whole extreme coupon process. Is anyone else lost on this?
