Every since I was young, I would say my early teens, one thing I’ve always wanted to do was bungee jump. Of course I had to wait until I was 18 to even begin to attempt this accomplishment. I ended up getting wrapped up in boys, my girl friends, the latest trend, parties and of course moving out on my own. While I still could have bungee jumped, it was something I put to the curbside, only to later add to my bucket list (again). I don’t know what the thrill is or why it amuses me and I can not explain that, but I want to do it. Now in my mid-thirties I am not sure if I could do a HUGE jump like I would have as a carefree teen. I think one of those in a secure location with the big fluffy pillow underneath it, like at a fair or an event, would probably be more desirable for me now. It is something I’ve always wanted to do and it’s something that I will still do if I get the opportunity to one day. I would love it. I think it’s mostly the adrenaline rush for me. It’s also knowing that my husband, partner in crime, would also do it. I think he would enjoy it as well and anything we can do as a couple, we do. It’s more fun when there are two of you, right?!
We’ve all come to know the recent new fad that has hit the bookshelves everywhere.. Fifty Two Shades of Grey. Women everywhere are raving out the book and how much they love it. I read part of it, but it wasn’t something that instantly fell in love with. However, Fifty Two Shades of Blue-ish is a comedy parody and is much more my style. I love a book that I can laugh and giggle through. Life is too serious, we need a break sometimes!
Karen S. Exkorn, a published author, noted speaker, and all-around nice Jewish girl (except when she’s not), has released Fifty Two Shades of Blue-ish, a parody of that “other” ever-popular tome.
Fifty Two Shades of Blue-ish is bursting with humor and erotica (who knew sex could be so fun…and funny?). The story follows the virginal Rachel Levine and her handsome hunk of man as they surrender to their sexual cravings, with a hunger for more than just matzah balls.
This sexy and silly parody is an entertaining romp through Rachel’s life as she strives to find the delicate balance between love, lust…and latkes. Over candlelit dinners with Manischewitz on ice, she surrenders to the forbidden desires of her inner princess (Jewish American Princess, that is…).
You can grab an exert from the book here:
You can grab Fifty Two Shades of Blue-ish on Amazon today! You will surely love this parody and with the fall weather around the corner, it’s the perfect time to grab a book, cuddle up and read.. And that means, maybe I’ll find that place to Bungee Jump when summer comes!
