Tour: Back To School With U By Kotex Tween

u by kotex tween, u by kotex, kotex tween, kotex twitter party, twitter partyIt’s back to school for many and that means that we have to prepare for the unexpected moments. The things that may happen at school. In my last post I talked about making a little back to school pack for my daughter to keep at school. We filled it with products such as the U By Kotex Tween pads. They are both small and absorbent. The packaging is bright and colorful and really takes the embarrassment out of things.

Here’s the thing.. I REALLY am hoping that when the moment comes for my daughter she is at home and I am here. I don’t want her to have the anxiety of it all and be alone. BUT the reality is, it will probably happen when I am away or when she is at school. She does have some spare clothes at school that she uses for gym (but could be used in an emergency, like an unplanned period). I also have told her she can call me and she can come home. The best advise I could give her was to not panic. Just go to her locker, get her little package of goodies (which is cleverly disguised in a make-up bag, so it won’t be obvious) and get to the bathroom. The less panic she has, the less people are likely to notice. I truly HOPE this doesn’t happen for her because I know it’s both embarrassing and anxiety ridden. We’ve talked so much about the situation though and I am confident that she will hand it well. All you can do is prepare them for it and make sure all their questions are answered.

The back to school pack we made consists of many things including chap stick, a brush and other “non” period items. She is really happy with the back. It also contains some individual wrapped cleaning wet wipes as well as both U By Kotex Tween liners and pads. I am confident that she is armed and ready to take on the situation when it happens. I’ve also went a step further and told her if it happens to one of her friends, that she should be there to support her friend and give her whatever supplies she needs. We can refill her pack when she gets home. This is a BIG moment for teens, but it’s also a lot to handle, especially in the wrong situation.

  1. Since my daughter’s are 3 and 5 I’m still in denial I’ll ever have to deal with the girly teen stuff with them. But when the time comes I hope there’s some dependable (and fashionable) feminine products like this still available.

    • I am in denial too! I don’t want it to happen and it just seems so early, but I know it’s bound to happen, so I better be prepared, then be late to have the talk!
