The last few weeks have been pretty trying for us when it comes to our TV. We love our TV shows and our fall line ups, but we have been getting sub-par cable service for quite a while. We call them, they replace a wire and call it a day. In reality it fixes nothing and we are left hanging like there is no solution for us. It happens again, we call again, they replace a wire and we are supposed to
be good to go. But really, nothing is getting fixed. Last time the guy was here I suggested he go through the house and replace everything in the lines of wires and do new boxes as well. He didn’t really want to and said he wouldn’t have time for that.
This lead both my husband and I to look into other solutions to replace our cable TV. I know we have a lot of options and they are all very much what would work, so it’s a matter of narrowing it down, to get the best prices and deals for the amount of channels and what not that we would like. One of the options that is heavily raking toward number 1 for us is Direct TV. We have never had satellite TV and I am sure it would be a workable option for us, but I worry because it IS satellite. We don’t live in an area that is bad as far as storms, but we do live in an area that gets snow. I can’t see myself trudging through several inches or feet of snow to go wipe the snow off the satellite dish. I’m not even sure we would have too? Maybe the satellite is made to were this wouldn’t be an issue. I am not entirely sure.
Whatever the case, I need to replace my cable! And sooner is better then later. I know many of my friends have went to other services and many of them have cut the costs dramatically. I would love to see what other options work for other people. What do you use? What do you recommend?

We have cable, but we ‘bundle’ (LOL) so it is cheaper for us than get dish service or something like that. We go with the local phone company because they’re the only ones that offer cable internet service and we need that for my husband’s job so we just packaged it all together. Plus we live in a condo and our HOA covers basic cable, so we just pay an extra charge for the channels we want on top of those ones.
