Summer is always so much fun. Since we live in the Midwest we end up having the majority of our events for things in the summer months. It works out okay for the most part. This year we have quite a few events to attend and when it comes to family, they are important events.
Last weekend my daughter, my mother and I attended my cousin’s fiance’s bridal shower. It was a lot of fun. They had little games like bingo, the price is right products and even a little quiz. Everyone walked away with a little gift from winning. It was very well planned and it was nice to have a smaller intimate get together to celebrate the upcoming wedding in July.
In July we have quite a few weddings. There are some we would love to, but just can not attend. Some lapse in dates and some of them
are too far to travel. So we have to rely on sending gifts and cards for those. I LOVE going to weddings. I love seeing the wonderful set ups that people choose, the cakes, the party favors, the dance floor.. it’s all so neat to see set up for each wedding and each wedding to be unique. I am a photo bug so I am sure I’ll be taking quite a few of those photos. I can’t wait! Weddings are so special. I have to admit, they do make me tear up some too. You never forget your wedding! Next month will be 10 years for my husband and I and it’s been nothing shy of amazing!
Of course we also have some babies in the family that have just come or are on their way! My mom and I are headed to South Carolina in August to welcome one of the newest additions! I can’t wait! My mom has never flew before so this could get interesting!!
Do you find that in the summer months you have a large amount of things on your schedule? I feel like there’s not enough time and it’s so hard to keep track and sort everything out. Of course my husband’s hectic wedding schedule doesn’t really help either!
At any rate, I love bridal showers, weddings and babies.. so I am TRULY excited to have all these things this summer. It’s a lot of family time, which is important to me. Bring on the fun!! Here comes summer!
