Closed: American Girl 2012 – McKenna

McKenna has arrived to the American Girl Stores. She’s also arrived into our homes and hearts! Both my daughter and I have fallen in love with McKenna’s story. She’s a determined girl who uses her strengths to turn challenges into triumphs, in the gym and at school. I really was truly amazed to get to know the whole story on McKenna and I read the book with my daughter. It was a lot of fun and bonding time that ment a lot to both of us. I’m not sure what the process is for American Girl and determining the way they create a new doll of the year and the story behind it, but this was a great one! Both my daughter and myself are very much in love with everything that comes along with McKenna. The accessories that they have added out in addition to the doll are also very neat. The doll is more athletic. To me this is very neat, because my daughter is getting into sports and it’s something that she can relate too, as well as the school challenges, with reports, homework and tests.

When I first shared the news of McKenna, I showed you some photos of the look, doll and come of the accessories. As expected the doll arrived and exceeded my expectations. I love her shoes! The colors are so neat and they are gymnast shoes! Her hair is a very pretty carmel colored hair. It’s straight and it’s about waist length. It’s already pulled back, but restyling into a pony tail is fun too. There are many accessories for McKenna, outfits and more. I think my favorite is her school outfit. My daughter loves the pajamas and off course would like the matching set for herself. Perhaps for that upcoming birthday!
