Yup! We are planning ahead this year. I have in the past waited until much closer to Halloween and we have ended up having to get another costume. The kids always fall in love with a costume every year and it sometimes is a very popular costume, and thus hard to find. Personally we always order from online. There is a much bigger selection and we aren’t limited to the trends that our area feels are popular, especially when it comes to boys Halloween costumes. This year I suspect the Transformers costumes will be pretty popular. With the release of the new movie I can imagine many little boys are going to want the newest and greatest characters.
My son was a transformer last year. It was pretty popular around here too, but they didn’t have the wide variety of characters that I was able to find online. This year he has again chose to be a transformer! He did chose a different character though. I began on my search for an Ironhide Costume. I ended up at Costume Supercenter and they of course carried it. They also carried the extra transformer gloves and matching treat bag! My son is thrilled with this pick and I can’t wait to let him vamp around collecting treats in it.
I’ve been a fan of Costume Supercenter for a while now. The costumes are not cheap plastic, so they last for a while. My son has been playing with his costume from last year all year long. It’s a nice fabric material. The mask is plastic, but it’s still in great shape even at almost a year old. Last year we had 2 school activities, a Halloween party and then finally trick or treating. The costume got a lot of use and I’d heard other parent’s say they had to get multiple costumes because they ripped or the plastic ties broke. I didn’t have this problem, and you should know my son is about as hyper and active as they come!
