I was recently on the hunt for a vacuum that I could tote around the house more easily when cleaning. Specifically, the steps, the edge vac’ing and those tedious little chores like that. I also wanted something that could quickly pick up dirt and mess though too. There is no sense is buying something for ONE use. We decided to give Dirt Devil’s Tattoo Canister Vacuum a try. I can’t say enough about this little, yet powerful, machine. Dirt Devil has many options when it comes to vacuums and we also have a little hand held vac by them that we love, so I was more drawn to the Dirt Devil brand.
This little vacuum has some amazing features: 10 AMPS, Automatic Cord Rewind, Vertical Storage System, Built-in Carry Handle, Rubber coated wheels gentle on floors, Full Bag Indicator and Variable Suction Control. It also has a few different attachments that are included with the vacuum. I love the automatic cord rewind. This has to simply be my favorite added feature!! I hate winding cords and this cord NEVER tangles! I don’t know how, but it doesn’t. The vac is light enough that my 10 year old comfortably uses it and I am able to hold it and go up and down my steps to clean them. The power on/off button is large. It’s sturdy too so if you have a handful you are able to tap it with your toe and turn it on/off. Although it is smaller, this vac has amazing capacity for holding dirt and debris. We used it almost 2 months and we JUST now had to change the bag.
I adore the cute tattoo design that is on the vacuum too. It is so stylish! I could see this being perfect for any dorm, mom, teen, dad and house!! They come in several colors, red, black, purple and gold. Ours is red (the black and red have the same tattoo design and the others have different designs).

Oh my gosh this is exactly what I am looking for too! I thought I wanted one of those smaller handheld vacuums, but when I tried it at the store, it took me a few minutes just to get the small area of their rug clean. I have a HUGE rug in my entry way and stairs that need to be vacuumed daily (or you can see every speck of dust)!
Hi, Amy, I’ve been researching these vacuums. This isn’t really one that is recommended for rugs except for surface dirt, the kind you can see. Otherwise, for good cleaning you need a different vacuum.
I actually use this on my steps and bathroom carpets all the time. I LOVE it for those spaces!
Can someone tell me where I can get replacement bags for this vacuum cleaner. The last time I checked, they were out of stock. I tried to buy some for the past three months and they are nowhere to be found. What is the use of it if you cannot buy replacement bags.
Robert, I noticed this also. I am contacting the rep for Dirt Devil to see if they are on back order or expected in soon. I haven’t run out of bags, but I am on my last one. I agree, the vacuum is of little use if you can not get bags.
