That handsome boy is my son. However, I rarely have pictures of him with a shirt ON. He hates tags, he hates seams and starchy clothing. Yes, getting him dressed can be a chore, however, shopping for him is an even BIGGER chore. Recently I was introduced to Soft Clothing. They have clothing for all children and it’s all tagless, flat seamed, bio-washed cotton, wide collars and soft elastic waists! My son chose the Oliver Tee. We ordered it in size medium as he is in a 6/7. The photo is the shirt pre-washed, however it did not shrink much if at all in the washing process. The shirts DO run a bit big. It is not a problem for us as I know how kids grow FAST and I would like him to wear the shirt more then once! Soft was created by a mom and special education teacher. There mission (from the site):
Many children are extra-sensitive to the texture and feel of clothing. Soft is the first line of inclusive clothing designed with the needs of all children in mind, including those with Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, and tactile defensiveness/sensitivity. We use flat seaming and seamless construction for extra comfort, 100% of the softest combed cotton and our specially developed Soft Sensory Blends , wide collars, encased elastic waistbands, printed labels (tagless), custom fits, and much more.
I love that the clothing is tagless and the wider collar. These are the 2 things that bother my son the most. He doesn’t “officially” have a sensory disorder, but he is ADHD and things bother him. The more I can tailor around him in his environment the more peaceful things can be. We both LOVE the softer cotton. It’s rare to find a t-shirt SO comfortable. He loves the comfort. I wish it was in MY size! It truly is soft! And it’s flexible, moving with him and not bothering him!

The seamless crew socks would work VERY well for my two boys who currently wear their sneakers without socks since they hate seams so much. (And thus, they have super-stinky feet – ick!)

seamless socks
I would choose the seamless socks. Right now, my daughter wears flip flops to avoid the seams in socks, but come winter, we will be dealing with either stinky feet or meltdowns in the morning over socks. I might have to go and buy some.
