Atkins was one of the first of it’s kind to hit the market and be so widely used. However, unlike many people think, it’s not as much of a diet as it is a lifestyle change. Atkins makes a wide variety of foods that you can use as replacements for the duration of your journey. Recently, we tried a variety of products from Atkins. I was pleasantly amazed with the flavor. It did NOT taste like a diet food. My husband also liked the flavors of the products. My favorite were the shakes! They felt like a guilty pleasure, but without all the “not good stuff” that went right to my hips! I decided I need a little more thickness to my shake one night and added some ice that was slush from the blender. Let me tell you, I never knew a HEALTHY choice could be so yummy!! I loved it!
The Atkins Diet, also known as the Atkins Nutritional Approach, is backed by more than 50 independent research studies validating the diet’s principles and its success rate for weight loss and weight management.
Atkins.com has always enabled members to come together to get advice, support and encourage one another, share stories and learn about the company’s powerful approach to weight loss and weight management. They have a community set up where you can reach out to others for support and even the Atkins team. It’s more then just a “take our product for weight loss” approach. Being able to look to each other for support and questions is often the reason a lot of diets fail. I know for me personally it is hard to not have that support. If I want to endulge I sometimes do, and then regret it later. I love that I can turn to other people that are having the same feelings and they provide me with support over a lecture.
Atkins is a phase program. The further you get the more you can add. I like this approach for me because it’s more of a short term goal that seems reachable rather then the looking at the big picture and being discouraged from the start. The 4 phases are known as: Induction, Ongoing Weight Loss (OWL), Pre-Maintenance and Lifetime Maintenance. Atkins has always been about limiting, NOT eliminating carbohydrates.
Atkins Advantage bars and shakes can be used throughout your Atkins Approach. The bars contain high levels of protein, fiber and good fats; have only one gram of sugar per serving; no more than three total net carbs per bar; 19 essential vitamins and minerals, including calcium; 13 flavors of Atkins Advantage bars!
Atkins Day Break bars (most) can be enjoyed during all four phases of the Atkins Diet. These bars boast: High levels of protein, fiber, and calcium; Low sugar levels; Whole grains; Zero trans fats. Available in seven of morning’s favorite flavors including: Apple Crisp Bar, Chocolate Crisp Bar, Chocolate Oatmeal Fiber Bar, Cinnamon Bun Bar, Cranberry Almond Bar, Fruit Crumble Bar, and Peanut Butter Fudge Crisp Bar.
Atkins Endulge products can be enjoyed in three of the four phases of the Atkins Diet. Atkins Endulge line offers delicious snack options with only one gram of naturally occurring sugar, which means no guilt, there are no more than 180 calories and one gram of sugar per serving and they come in favorite candy flavors like chocolate, peanut butter and coconut.
Atkins products are available in more than 30,000 locations throughout the U.S. and internationally, and include ready-to-drink shakes and best selling nutrition bars. They range in price for around $1.29 and up per product. These are by far some of the best tasting products I have tried and there really wasn’t a flavor that I can say we didn’t like.
Connect with Atkins on Facebook and Twitter. These are additional resources for you to talk with people just like you that are working on the Atkins Nutritional Approach. You can also learn about new products that Atkins will release.
