I know there are parents out there like me, who are constantly worried about what their kids might find on TV. I’ve always been a fan of morning cartoons, I am totally NOT a morning person, so lounging on the couch while the kids watch cartoons has always been a way of life for us. I recently started paying a little bit more attention to exactly what was going on during some of the more popular shows. I can say that I was appalled they market to kids. I mean really? Do we need ADULT content and references in CHILDREN’S cartoons? I’ve became more aware and I have been filtering things for my children. They really don’t seem to mind, but I feel MUCH better knowing that what they are watching is clean and fun. And if you add some learning into that mix, I am over the top happy!! Recently we viewed an Auto B Good DVD. It was Mission Possible. I loved that the animated series teaches lessons in character development and is targeted towards children age 4-10. It is an Emmy Award winning series. My son is 6, my daughter is 9, and my nephew is 5. They watched this DVD together and they enjoyed every minute of it. Afterwards I found my nephew and son playing the characters while outside and mimicking some of the stuff in the film. Trust me, you don’t want your 6 year old mimicking some of the other stuff on TV. I sat back and listened to them playing and it was SOOOO cute! There are many other things available with the Auto B Good series, like books, DVD’s, pencils, bookmarks and more.
