Recently we had the honor of trying one of Jennifer’s Jumpers Pillowcase Dresses. My daughter seen the dress and absolutely fell in love with it. I was amazed by the quality of it. I have to admit, I am skeptical about buying handmade things. I have no idea why, but for some reason I feel like these things would fall apart faster then things made in an assembly line by a company. Actually typing that I realized how FAR off that sounds. A one person shop probably produces FAR better of a product then an assembly line. I am very open to buying handmade items after seeing this dress.
Here’s some information about pillow case dresses from the website:
The pillowcase dress was born during a time of thrift and frugality when nothing was thrown away and time was precious. What do you do when one pillowcase is worn or torn and the other is good? Make dress out of it. What do you do with an empty flour sack? Make a dress out of it! Flour used to be sold in 40 and 50 pounds sacks made of about a yard of fabric. Flour companies used to make their brand of flour more attractive to housewives by making the sack out of pretty fabric! The beauty of the construction of the dress was that you could use make the dress without cutting the bag or pillowcase to pieces. This was a great time saver. The other time saving part of this dress was that the dress can also be worn as a top, meaning the garment could be worn for YEARS.
This is all so amazing to me!! I can see why they did it and I can see the time saver and money saver it became! I long for the days when we had simple lives and enjoyed our resources. The dress is very durable and my daughter played and played in it. I also LOVE that the ties are ribbon and can be adjusted. Not every child is the same shoulder width and I’ve found several times on tank tops with my daughter that I’ve had to gather the straps and re-sew them because they hung down too low.
What I completely loved about this dress was the simplicity. I noticed it immediately. This dress is SO versatile. Here my daughter is wearing it for a summer dress and enjoyed the day outside and playing. She wasn’t too warm as the fabric is nice and breathable. However, paired with a cute little cardigan and some dress shoes and we have a dress for church or dinner. SO SIMPLE! There are many different styles and sizes available from 6months to 10years. Jennifer’s Jumpers also has a Dress of the Month sale in which one dress is spotlighted and marked down! Take a look at the site. I promise you won’t be disappointed!! These dresses are amazing!!
Disclosure: I was provided with a complimentary dress from Jennifer’s Jumpers for this review. All views and opinions with regard to the products or company itself are my own and were not influenced, nor reviewed, by the company prior to posting.

These are simply all the rage right now. Very cute! If I had daughters I would consider buying one. But my husband would get mad if I put that on my son.
