Today is my BABY boy’s birthday. I wished him a BIG happy birthday this morning and hubby made him birthday pancakes with whipped cream for breakfast. He’s excited to be 6 today! I sent him off to school with a birthday treat to share with his friends. Tonight we will have a little dinner here. No big party because on the 20th we are having a party. My daughter’s birthday is also this week.
I remember 6 years ago waking up at 6:30am to drop my daughter off at my mom’s house. It was 4 days before her 3rd birthday. She wished for a baby. She kept telling me that. I wasn’t due till after her birthday though. As logics have it, I had to be induced on February 9, 2001. The baby was getting big and he was laying on a nerve in my back. I couldn’t walk much anymore because 99% of the day my leg was asleep. It was time. We arrived at the hospital. I was given platosin. I rested until about noon. At noon I was progressing well and had an epidural because back labor was getting intense. I actually SLEPT then until 3:00pm when they woke me up to check me. I was ready. The broke my water since it didn’t break yet and then broke the bed down. Within 18 minutes my world changed. At 3:18pm I delivered the most handsome little boy I’d ever seen! I loved him so much! I had tears of joy, and now my daughter got her wish. No matter how much time passes, I will never forget this story. I love my little man!
