Coolest Thing Ever!

Frequently I seen infomercials on TV and pass right through them. In fact I usually find them nothing more then annoying. I hate them and think they are a waste of the hour or whatever time they are on. Really. However, today when I was sitting in the pedicure chair I didn’t have the luxury of changing the channel. I was forced to watch the dreaded infomercial! However, this one was for the “Ninja“. I must say I was impressed. Without a shadow of doubt by the end of the infomercial I had jotted down the number and was SURE I was going to own a Ninja. I was SURE my kitchen needed this appliance. I could then get rid of my less then par food processor and my shady blender. It would also take the place of my hand mixer *most* of the time. My husband would love this because he loves healthy things and protein drinks. With this he can serve up a protein drink in no time and he is able to make a healthy breakfast drink or what not. Guys, if you are looking for gifts for her, I promise you, she will love this… especially if she loves Margaritas, Mojitos or other slushie drinks!! You can make so many yummy things in this! I am drooling thinking about it. Baby food, frozen drinks, slushes, snow cones, deserts, soups, salads, salsa, etc in MINUTES! And honestly I can say, I am NOT being paid to brag about this product! I just truly love it that much!

Tomorrow is hubby’s birthday… We are going out to dinner. No big plans since he is working nights tonight. He will have to get back into the swing of sleeping at night again, but it will be nice to not have to cook and to be out with the family for dinner. The extended family. Mother in law, Father in law, his brother, his brother’s girlfriend, the kids, hubby and I. It’s always a riot!

In other news… Last week I went to the doctor with chest pain. It’s not really pain like you probably would have with a heart attack and I wasn’t too worried. I am growing a little more concerned however. Here’s why. The doctor felt that it was more of an arthritis type thing and put me on anti-inflammatory medicine. He also to rule it out put me on Prevacid in the morning and Zantac at night for GERD. However, since my Gall Bladder was removed 4 years ago I have not had ANY heartburn at all. Prior to that I was a heartburn pro. Let me tell you, THIS does NOT feel like heartburn. I’m at a loss because after 9 days of aggressive treatment I still have no resolution. I still have this chest pain and it’s not getting worse, but it’s not going away. I don’t want to make yet another appointment because I feel the doctor was SO dismissive the first time, but I don’t feel like I should sit with this pain either. It’s not shooting pain, it’s not uncomfortable intolerable pain, it’s just there in the middle of my sternum. Totally at a loss….

The way you talk about the Ninja is the way I talk about our Magic Bullet. I absolutely love the thing.

Happy birthday to your hubby. Hope you guys have a great time out.

I’m starting to wonder about your doctor. From what you told me about your last visit, he wasn’t very caring then either. I’m not sure the relationship you have with him, but maybe you should look into a second opinion. Chest pain could be something serious. And if it’s bothering you, especially after a week and a half of treatment, it should be taken seriously.
