I wish I could come up with a more creative title but really I can’t. I am really that lame, that boring, that blah that the only words that come to mind right now are “back to school”. I guess that really should read “The start of mom’s freedom!” Honestly I am a little sad that my BABY is now in school all day but on the other hand I am excited that I am finally able to get things done during the day. I am excited to be able to get my nails done, enjoy a pedicure, an many other countless things without having to arrange a sitter first. It just plain nice. If a friend calls and wants to go to lunch I can now just GO! No child in tote. It’s a mommy dream. I do not forget the memories I’ve had and enjoyed while they were home, however I am embrassing this new era! This time I can call MINE!
They were very excited as they headed off to grades 3 and kindergarden today. It was magical and no they didn’t want to say good-bye nor did they want me to hang around. Just go… Okay I got it loud and clear! They came home excited and screamed over each other to fill me in on their day when I picked them up. It was good day for both of them! They enjoyed it, meanwhile I soaked up the silence and had a date with 2 good friends. We drove 25 miles to enjoy some Sonic and cherry limeade! It was so worth it! A completely productive day all around! I managed 3 loads of laundry, a fully cooked dinner and a clean house too! I am a goddess! A domestic goddess! And I do it all in high heels!
