Rainy Days Taking The Sun Away…

[ 0 ] August 29, 2009

Today, yesterday and the day before it rained. Rained like other. Not just a sprinkle here a sprinkle there, rain. Buckets of rain, rain that left puddles that I stepped in that soaked my leg up to my knee. Yes, that kind of rain. And because of that rain it has been miserably cold too. Not nice, not summer. I miss summer. I missed it dearly all summer. We never really had a summer. Summer really sucked this year! It’s been sub-par to say the least.

I would say I am having a bad day but the poor waitress that is waiting on us at Pizza Hut is really have a rough day. She brings out the cheese bread an drops one of the 4 pieces on the floor. It’s greasy and an accident. She’s young and you can tell she’s been having an awful day. This visit by us is proceeded to be followed by a chair at our table that has a leg that is nearly broken! My father in law almost hits the floor but manages to catch himself. She felt horrible! Poor girl. But truthfully she had no idea nor did any of us the chair was unstable. Following up that is the leaking ceiling which starts right as we are finishing our visit. This causes water to start dripping on the corner of the table. Splash! Right onto the remaining 2 slices of pizza. Without further ado we have this poor waitress at our table and the manager. We walk out with a free dinner. I left a $15 tip, she really didn’t need my comical tips like the best acne treatment or a toilet joke. The poor girl was having a miserable day. She kept saying how sorry she was and she kept apologizing for things that were not her fault. I hope she has a better day! Good customer service though Pizza Hut! We will be back!

Hopefully the rest of the day goes better then this morning did! We are heading to get some movies and then cuddle up with a blanket. This weather is only perfect for a nap!

Another day! Just Because!

[ 0 ] August 28, 2009

It’s another day and yet more last minute things that must happen before that MAGICAL deadline of September 1st. This is the day most refer to as “First Day of School.” Here in my house it is referred to as “The Day of Magical Silence!” BOTH yes I said that, BOTH, of my kids will be in school full time this year. Since the only one home with me will be the dog, who really prefers to sleep away his days, I have no problem with him being the only one home. It will be amazing! I just know it!!

On that note, we have a few things left to do for the kiddos for school. We need to get them both gym shoes. That is happening this weekend. We also have to get some stuff to make lunches. For whatever reason my children think they are FAR to precious to eat school lunch, so they opt for cold lunch. FUN! I love packing them!

We headed over to AT&T today to return my hubby’s phone. He’s opted to return to Sprint and their shitty service.  I’m going to get some life insurance quotes now because my blood is already boiling just at the thought! He picked a phone that was pretty much the “free” phone… not a great one to pull in reception. Then he proceeds to get upset that it doesn’t work as well as my snazzy iPhone. I really can’t help this. I coughed up the $ for a good phone. You get what you pay for. I’ve said it a MILLION times and will continue too! So he decided rather then going to get a phone that will work, he will go back to the shitty Sprint service and have a handset that doesn’t work worth the $.02 Sprint put into it to make it. The reception is better though. Nevermind that the device is faulty. For the next 3-4 days he will see past that to TRY to prove a point to me. Then the argument will start and won’t stop. He will be forever unhappy and want to cancel the service and blah blah blah. I however, will be glowingly happy with my iPhone and will continue on.

I was absolutely amazed today when I read this review. Granted it is from July 2007 and there have been several upgrades to the iPhone since, I think this guy is a little far off his rocker. The iPhone is simply the BEST phone I’ve ever had. I actually owned the Treo 755 and I can tell you without a DOUBT the iPhone is by FAR better!! The reviewer clearly didn’t give the phone long enough stating he’d returned it after a week. Let me explain the points that are wrong in the review… There is a search phone function on the iPhone which the reviewer says there is not. Next, I am lead to believe that the area the reviewer is in only has AT&T Edge service and it doesn’t have AT&T 3G service. The 3G service really is vital to the iPhone. However, if you have only the EDGE service the Safari and other internet features will seem VERY slow. 3G is new and coming up in most areas, however not all. So this could be the problem for this user, won’t be for EVERY user though. Be a wise consumer and do your homework. Know your network! Next, no tasklist? There is a Memo feature built into the phone, but there are SEVERAL task list type apps that are FREE! Perhaps this user never explored??? Battery life… My iPhone goes all day and then some? I am on it and playing with apps and texting ALL day. I use my phone HEAVILY! When I had my 755 I was charging it ever night. I charge my iPhone every night too. One was NOT better then the other in battery!!  I would love to see this user RE-review the iPhone… And I am willing to bet… some 3 years later this review doesn’t have the Treo 755 that s/he claimed was the BEST phone ever. I can honestly say in 3 years I WILL have my iPhone… maybe upgraded to the NEWEST and latest, but I will be an iPhone user!!

Blogging From My iPhone!

[ 0 ] August 27, 2009

So I recently got an iPhone that is so secret. I found alot of cool applications for my phone that have made this phone the best phone I’ve ever have. My most recent download is this wonderful wordpress application. It allows me to post off my phone. I can literally write my thoughts while I am on the go! I really honestly can’t think of anything more cool! I am sorry if I am so simply amused by the little things in life but really it doesn’t take much these days to amuse me! I can blog away with random thoughts and babble away all from the comfort of my hands! Yay! Go iPhone!

What seriously has society come too?

[ 0 ] August 27, 2009

Naturally in life if we have a good expierence we tell a few people and that is really as far as things go. If we have a bad experience we are peeved and we tell alot of people and generally we do so over and over because we are peeved. This is how 99.999999% of America including even the FINEST people deal with things. Seriously, it’s not just the ones with issues, or the ones you people think have issues. I follow on Twitter and read the blog of Dooce. Recently they purchased a wash machine NEW for $1300 and it has failed time and time again. You can follow my link if you want to know all the details, but of course she shares her story. Odd? Not at all. But because she has a LARGE audience people say it’s wrong. No more wrong then me telling my mother-in-law all of my horrible expieriences which are then shared with MILLIONS of people. She’s a barber. Let me tell you how many people in my city hear my stories and experiences. If I have a bad expierience she’s the first one I call. The next day, she proceeds to tell hundreds of people, who in turn tell hundreds of people… it’s a train. It’s what happens. If companies want this type of thing not to happen then they really need to BACK their products and services. Recently my expierence with Sprint when they failed to replace a phone in which was INSURED at $7.00 a month for over a year… 7×12=$84.00 that they pocketed in JUST insurance on a phone in which they refused to replace. A phone which would not answer and no buttons would respond to be “pushed”. But none the less, Sprint now has 3 less phone lines in which they are getting MY money for each month. I proceeded to move to another company that WILL value my business and dollar. My whole point is… if we can’t share our expieriences with one another to be ‘wise consumers’ then what is the point? I personally want to get the best buy for my buck… and any help with hearing positive and negative stories in helping me make a smart choice is very much appreciated. Am I the only one?
