The kids are driving me INSANE and I can’t wait for them to go back to school. SOON!! Monday!! What a lovely day that will be!! They are doing pretty good, but it’s getting to be were they fight more then they play and they really just need the structure of school again. So I a break. I’ve slept more of the days away then anything! Thank god my hubby has had some time off. I need the help! LOL
Happy New Year to my Readers!! Have a safe and Happy 2009!!

Well Christmas has arrived and it was nothing short of a holiday like any other in this house… a little chaos, a lot of gifts (read spoiled rotten children), too much food, and the need for a whole day after to recover. I have been off the computer for so many days it has been unreal. It’s crazy here this time of the year. I literally HATE the hustle and bustle of the holiday. The extra running around, the extra crowds EVERYWHERE, the extra prices of everything… it’s a hassle. I am glad it’s all over. Honestly, I like the holiday in general, I just think that *WE* Americans have way commercialized it and it’s too much. Some commercialization is good, but we far over do it.
We’ve decided next year that we are going to do names on hubby’s side with a $10.00 maximum. Now in order for you to fully understand how incrediably FUN this is going to be you HAVE to know the family. We are all a little crazy, we all are VERY creative. You can expect gifts like a toliet plunger, a can of glade and something to read while doing to job… You’d be suprised what $10.00 can do and we are all so fun and creative this will be very fun!! I just know it!! I can’t wait… and plus it will be so much easier on everyone. Rather then buying for the WHOLE family we will only have 1 person EACH to buy for. I think this will be MUCH easier on EVERYONE. And I can’t wait to have fun with it!! It will be ALOT of fun!!
I feel like I need saftey equiptment to walk through my living room at this point. The kids scored Rock Band 2 – the whole nine yards… guitars, drums, microphones, etc for the PS3 for Christmas. They are so crazy and they really get into it. They jump around. They really get going. And when hubby and my brother are here playing too it’s serious!! You could REALLY get hurt. I tried… I failed miserably. It’s not my kind of game and I am not coordinated enough to make it work!! LOL

We had a visit at our house last night… from St Nick… that jolly man left lots of goodies for my kids and that included candy that they didn’t need. They’ve been way too crabby all day because they’ve been up way to early to rip open socks full of candy and trickets and toys… oh the joy! Can you totally tell I am not feeling the holidays? I don’t know why, but I am just not. I am getting them in the shower shortly and then off to bed they go!! Time for mom to have some QUITE time!
Hubby’s back to work again, on nights. I hate when he works nights. I think the only thing that keeps me sain when he’s working nights is my security system. I love it. When I was pregnant with Alex we started looking at home security companies and all the benefits of them. Our garage had been broken in to one night while we were asleep. This scared me. Our garage is attached to our home. We rarely locked the door between the garage and the house. We quickly decided that this would be a GREAT benefit for not only our home, but our safety. I love the security of the sytem. I literally have no worries when I go to bed at night. Every door, every window is protected. My family is safe. I sleep well, they sleep well. When we go on vacation we never have to worry about our home. The security company watches over it and ensures that it’s kept free from strangers or anyone that shouldn’t be entering. Our belongings are safe. We actually get to save 20% a year on our home owners insurance too. That is so nice. It wasn’t all that expensive to have it installed and put in. It’s beyond paid for itself in the first year or two expecially with the insurance savings. I love the safe feeling.

We have remote controls for our key chains that we can turn the alarm on and off before we enter the house. They work so nice. We use them if we go for walks and stuff too. A motion detector also came with our system and they have it all set so that our puppy doesn’t set it off. Nice!! When it comes to security… these are definetly the FIRST things I’d consider… which makes me GLAD that I have one… expecially when my husband is working nights and I am home alone with the kids overnight. I love it. It makes it so much easier for me to sleep. I don’t know if I could sleep at all if it weren’t for this!
Anyhow… Okay I think I am going to SET my security system now that I’ve totally talked your ears off. I’m freezing my butt off and I want to cuddle up and get some rest. Maybe tomorrow I will actually scrap some. I had the most adorable photo session today with my god daughter!! She’s such an adorable baby! I love her so much. The pictures are amazing!!! I need to get scrapping them!! Later bloggers!!
