Monday Morning Toot & A little Rant of Sorts…

I’ll start with the bad… because I want to end the post positive since my Monday’s usually suck… but not today!! LOL I was a little disappointed last night when I logged in and seen there were over 170 downloads on my Fall Time freebie. It’s leaves, realistic.. I took alot of time to extract them and offer them here. I pay the server bill, the domain fee, AND I allowed commercial use of them… I got 34 comments on that post. 34!!! So I decided to take them down. I NEVER do that with my freebies EVER. I don’t know what to do, but part of me is just SAD. I am a SAHM and I want to offer things to other SAHM and those that can’t afford to buy all the time, but the bad apples really are ruining it. Perhaps I could have them comment and then send the link, but then I just have a feeling they’d pass the link through groups… UGH!! Is there a good way?

Okay… on to much better things!! First, a small but exciting news!! Hubby’s off today!! LOL Next up, Hubby’s friend Tim went to court this morning and was awarded 50/50 custody of his son!! This means that I will be babysitting 2 weeks out of the month for him. I am excited. He’s little. 2 months. I love babies and since I can’t have anymore, I chaerish the time I get to spend (and SPOIL) with everyone elses!! LOL So that was exciting to hear this morning.

Okay and now my big TOOT!!!!! I was chosen as the winner for last weeks challenge at Hodge Podge!! You can see the announcement under this weeks challenge. My layout Explore was chosen. I am so excited!! I won a $10 Gift Certificate to Rachel Young’s Store AND a $10 Gift Certificate to Amanda Rockwell’s Store!! *YAY* Okay so on that GREAT note I am going to start my day… Have a great day bloggers!!

I’m glad that your day ended up on the positive side. Congrats! Here’s to a super good week. Don’t get down about the freebie, just remember that there are a lot of losers out there!

Hope you have fun with a little baby again – nice to be able to have the cuddles then hand it back at the end of the day ;-)

Congratulations on winning the Hodge Podge challenge. I don’t know what to say about the freebie situation, I guess people just don’t appreciate thow much time you’ve taken.

34 comments? Wow my last freebie offered at my blog, ZERO comments! I removed it too. It is very sad that we take the time to offer a freebie from space we actually are paying for, not using from a free service and no one can say thank you? No I won’t offer them anymore. I will offer them at my little shoppe for a limited amount of time and that’s that!
    Congrats won winning

Sorry about the comments. From what I’ve heard 10% is doing good on freebies. Still sad, but true.

Yay on all your good news though! I can’t have any more babies either, but in a way I’m so glad that this is the last time I’m going through the 2′s.

I too am a SAHM, and it makes me so angry that some people will take all the time, without bothering to even say two little words – Thank you -
Too all those that don’t bother to reply, they should try making these things to see just how much time goes into the work. Sorry Now I’m ranting lol

Congrats on becoming a winner at Hodge Podge, that is awesome news. Please try not to let the ignorant people get you down. Your work is awesome. Thank you.

Congrats on winning the hodge podge challenge! I wish more people would say thank you. It’s not hard to say and doesn’t take much time. Unfortunately, much of the internet is a thankless world. I know it hurts but just remember you make scraps for YOU, not them. Some people do have manners and will always thanks. Those are the ones you want to be friends with. The polite people. I’m glad you offer to those who can’t afford to buy all the time. I hope you don’t stop but I understand if you do. You could have people comment and then send the link, but then they may pass the link through groups. There’s a lot of them like that but not all people will. Maybe you could set up a private internet group and only people you know and trust can join (people you know will say thanks) and give only group members the link (and know they won’t share the link) and have your blog/site/link password protected. If they don’t know the password they aren’t getting in. Only group members get the password. I hate to do it that way because I want to share with as many people as possible and you probably do too but if you just put your link online with no protection then it’s too wide open. Anybody could get it. Make them go to your blog or they don’t get the link. Nothing is foolproof but it helps cut down on the people who don’t say thanks. I hope you find something that works for you.

    Nicole
